Scrum is the most widely used agile framework, but knowing how it works is not the same as being able to make it work. This course is designed for people who want to operate as effective Scrum Masters - facilitating the Scrum events with purpose, supporting the team to self-manage, removing impediments, and coaching Product Owners and stakeholders on how to get the most from the framework.
The course is structured around the Scrum Guide 2020 and covers the theory, values, and empirical foundations of Scrum alongside the practical accountabilities of the Scrum Master role. It includes exercises and scenarios drawn from real team contexts, with a focus on developing judgment rather than just knowledge.
This is a preparation course for the Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) assessment from Scrum.org. Passing the assessment is not required, but candidates who complete this course are well placed to attempt it.
Anyone moving into or developing their practice as a Scrum Master. Also relevant for team leads, delivery managers, and agile coaches who want a thorough grounding in Scrum and the Scrum Master role.
