The Product Owner role is frequently misunderstood. It is not a business analyst who writes user stories, nor a project manager in disguise. Done well, it is a strategic and demanding accountability that shapes what a team builds and why - and that is directly tied to the delivery of value.
This course is structured around the Scrum Guide 2020 and covers the full scope of Product Ownership: managing and ordering the Product Backlog, defining and communicating product vision and goals, engaging stakeholders, and working effectively with the Scrum Team to maximise value.
This is a preparation course for the Professional Scrum Product Owner I (PSPO I) assessment from Scrum.org. Passing the assessment is not required, but candidates who complete this course are well placed to attempt it.
Anyone moving into or developing their practice as a Product Owner. Also valuable for product managers, business analysts, and stakeholders who want to understand how effective Product Ownership shapes delivery.
